Siyabonga, which has been in existence for over 10 years now, is dedicated to providing educational and better environmental opportunities to children who otherwise do not stand a chance in Uganda and Africa as a whole. We support needy children from mostly incomplete families many of whom have become orphans because of AIDS. Our main goal is to give these children a better future.

Siyabonga was originally started by a group of four people who, having come from impoverished backgrounds themselves, decided to do something to make the lives of children in Africa better – just as someone else did for them years before.

Siyabonga has been in existence for over 10 years and is dedicated to providing young children in Uganda – and Africa as a whole – with opportunities for education and training to enter the workforce so they can provide for themselves and their families. The children supported by the charity often come from broken families or have been orphaned because of AIDS. The goal of Siyabonga is to give these children a better, brighter future.

We are not just another organisation asking for aid to help the thousands of starving and poor children in Africa. We are an organisation that is testifying to the very help that has already been given. We are here today to say that the help given as children back then is not, and has never been, in vain. Siyabonga as a charity organisation is all about giving thanks for what has been done for us by helping others who are just like us in return! Siyabonga [Thank you!!!]

At Siyabonga we believe that: as long as the families that give life to these children are not economically supported or equipped, we will have more orphans, humiliating poverty and high illiteracy. Unlike other charity organizations, we can’t only prone the dry leaves but water the roots. Basically we can’t just provide support to this particular child and forget the rest of the family siblings in the similar environment. Therefore Siyabonga has a dream of helping families, help their children. One family at time Siyabonga’s approach will be to empower families through (Non –formal Education) which will also provide mainly PARENTS with educational activities that meet their needs and interest or even subjects that are relevant to their rights, wellbeing and professional practical skills in agricultures, animal husbandry and entrepreneurship skill
